YOU ARE NEVER GOING TO BELEIVE IT BUT TRUE!!

The Wee Bennie, the biggest field of the year played in betterball format proves to be the most popular competition day of the year with 68 pairs taking part, everyone had a fun day and joined in extraordinary celebrations with  one golfer in particular making history by acheiving a brace of holes in one, yes i said TWO HOLES IN ONE BY SAME PLAYER, same round,Craig Charker playing with his brother Hugh holed his tee shot at the 14th par 4 and same club same ball did it again at the 18th par 3 , Taylor Made 3 wood and Taylor Made ball, yes and as you might have guessed with that type of golf they went on to win the overall competition with a better ball of 58.

 

Canada Hill makes it on to the BBC

April 1st, BBC scotland were filming on Canada Hill for an episode of the A History of Scotland program,presented by Neil Oliver,to be broadcast at the end of the year. This will be the second series of very informative and factual history of our country. it will be great to see Canada Hill on national television and give us a boost.

Gents toilets and showers

Our thanks are due to new fabric convenor Brian Hughes for the much needed makeover of the gents toilets and showers, it is a pleasure now to visit

Green Coring & Top Dressing

Yesterday and today saw the start of the coring and dressing, we all know this is an interruption to play but this week has been the first opportunity of weather to crack on with it, thanks to all members who are assisting with this essential work and the patience of all members whilst this essential work takes place, the golfing season proper is just around the corner now...
